Whether you subscribe to them individually or as part of a bundle deal, Disney+ and Hulu both have a lot to offer streaming fans. Disney has the ultra-popular Marvel and Star Wars franchises, while Hulu brings the heat with tons of original shows and movies from around the world, coupled with American TV shows from network partners. There’s a lot to watch, with new stuff added every day, so I picked out the three best choices for the first week of June. The full list of TV shows and movies coming to the streaming services can be found below.

Doctor Who: The Reality War (May 31/Disney+)
The fifteenth series of Doctor Who has had some startling twists and turns, most notably the long-awaited return of series villain the Rani (now played by Archie Panjabi). With the looming threat of Omega, the creator of the Time Lords, being released from his interdimensional prison, the Doctor and his companions have their back against the wall and Earth’s final day of destruction at hand. Director: Alex Sanjiv Pillai
Cast: Ncuti Gatwa, Varada Sethu, Millie Gibson
Genre: Science Fiction
Rating: TV-14
Yuri On Ice: Season 1 (June 3/Hulu)
One of the most popular anime series in recent years, Yuri On Ice takes the emotionally intense world of figure skating as its backdrop for a story of devotion, obsession, and romance. After protagonist Yuri Katsuki loses at the Grand Prix Final, he considers leaving the sport, until his childhood idol Victor Nikiforov enters his life and offers to become his coach. The relationship between the two goes to some surprising places. This series has been hard to stream for a while, so this is a big deal.
Directors: Jun Shishido, Sayo Yamamoto
Cast: Jun’ichi Suwabe, Toshiyuki Toyonaga, Kôki Uchiyama
Genre: Drama, Sports
Rating: TV-14
IMDB Rating: 8.2/10
Predator: Killer Of Killers (June 6/Hulu)
2022’s Prey, directed by Dan Trachtenberg, single-handedly revitalized the Predator franchise by both getting back to basics (a lone human needs to fend off a hunter from beyond the stars) and adding a twist (it takes place in 1719). His follow-up, Killer of Killers, looks to do the same. This one is an animated anthology of three different tales of a Viking raider, a WWII pilot, and a ninja in feudal Japan facing off with the Predator. It looks awesome.
Directors: Dan Trachtenberg, Joshua Wassung
Cast: Michael Biehn, Louis Ozawa, Lindsay LaVanchy
Genres: Sci-Fi, Action
Rating: R
