Tudum, K.O.: What’s New to Watch on Netflix the Week of May 30, 2025

Every week, Netflix drops a ton of new content for viewers to stream from studios all over the world. Some of it’s good, some of it’s… not for me. Watching all of it would take you a ton of time, so I decided to start our Friday by recommending three top picks for the week to come. Schedule your viewing around these shows and movies, and I’ll be watching along with you. Let’s start the week with the streamer’s annual Tudum preview event and enjoy a few European crime stories later on. The full list is below.

This Week on Netflix: PCMag’s Picks

Netflix Tudum 2025 (May 31, 8 p.m. ET)

The streaming service’s annual celebration of itself is always a party, and this year’s Tudum (named after the sound that Netflix makes when you boot it up) is promising sneak peeks into the future of popular franchises like Stranger Things, Squid Game, Love Island, and many more. I’m also looking forwad to the first trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming Frankenstein movie. Lady Gaga is scheduled to perform, as is rising Indian rap star Hanumankind, and dozens more.

  • Host: Sofia Carson

  • Cast: Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Millie Bobby Brown, Jenna Ortega

  • Genre: Live Presentation

Sara: Woman In The Shadows (June 3)

You don’t mess with a mother, especially when she’s a former secret agent with an axe to grind. Italian series Sara: Woman In The Shadows stars Teresa Saponangelo as a spy forced out of retirement when her son mysteriously dies. As she searches for information, she gets tangled up in her old business, with former allies and foes popping up, as well as her son’s pregnant fiancée. It’s based on a popular crime novel series and looks solid.

K.O. (June 6)

European action is undergoing a surprising resurgence, and French flick K.O. grabbed me this month. Ciryl Gane stars as Bastien, a former MMA fighter who retired after accidentally killing an opponent during a fight. Now he has to find the man’s missing son to make up for his guilt, but that will bring him up against some of the nastiest crooks in Marseille.

  • Director: Antoine Blossier

  • Cast: Ciryl Gane, Alice Belaïdi, Foued Nabba

  • Genres: Action

  • Rating: TV-MA
