Samsung’s next foldable phones are almost certain to have a seven in their name. Two different leaks directly from Samsung call the upcoming phones the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7.
The first leak came on Wednesday when the company teased its upcoming foldable Ultra handset. The company used a GIF image, which Digital Trends noticed was titled “Galaxy-Z-Fold7-Z-Flip7-Pre-tease-Bartype_1920x1080.gif.”
That may be a placeholder name, but a second leak from Samsung’s Galaxy Store adds even more fuel to the fire. As spotted by GalaxyClub, the company uploaded a new app called “Samsung Internet Browser for Fold7 and Flip7.”
Rumors suggest Samsung’s next generation of foldable phones will be announced in July, so it makes sense that we’re beginning to see leaks around things like the naming structure, which often happens around major phone releases.
This year, Samsung may also introduce two new foldables alongside the familiar book-style and flip phones. An Ultra version of its Galaxy Z Fold 7 would be a premium and more expensive version of the book-style foldable, helping it compete with growing competition from other Android makers.

There are also rumors that Samsung has figured out how to make cheaper foldables, so we might get a more affordable Galaxy Z Flip, possibly called the Galaxy Flip FE.
We’ve yet to see any leaks referring to these phones as the Galaxy Z Fold Ultra 7 or Galaxy Z Flip FE 7, so the number might not be included on those new phones. However, Samsung has a history of introducing new product lines with the same family name as existing products. For example, the Galaxy S25 Edge was added to the company’s flagship range earlier this year, but Samsung chose to include the numbering scheme in its name when it launched a few months later.
