Dell’s New Pro 16 Is Bold, Powerful, and Priced for Working Smart

Ever since Dell reimagined its XPS lineup at CES 2024, it’s been building machines that are redefining the company’s flagship laptops. The all-new Pro 16 is no exception.

A bold new look, AI capabilities, and cutting-edge components make Dell’s Pro 16 a dream for Windows-bound creative pros and everyday power users. Loaded with up to Intel Core Ultra processors—and upgradable to an Ultra 200U series processor with an optional built-in AI chip—the Pro 16 dazzles with 16-inch FHD+ displays, robust ports, almost nine hours of battery life, and a snazzy modular chassis.

Starting at just $949 (CAD) during Dell’s Summer Sale, the price can’t be beat either.

Modular Lines and a Vibrant Display

A portable powerhouse at a reduced price

The Dell Pro 16 comes in two metallic-finish options that give off premium vibes. Its slim build weighs under 2 kilograms, and the machine undergoes rigorous MIL-STD testing, so you can take it anywhere without worry. The modular build also feels solid.

The expansive 16:10 display isn’t just gorgeous; the narrow bezels give you 10% more screen area than the previous generation, which is nice if you use the machine as your only screen. Remote workers will also appreciate the optional 2MP webcam with HDR technology.

Under-the-Hood Configurations

The base model, starting at $949 (CAD), comes loaded with an Intel Core 5-120U processor, 16GB DDR5, 256GB storage, and WiFi 6E, all of which can easily tackle everyday tasks. Configurations with 512GB storage and WiFi 7 are available, and the memory is upgradable to 64GB.

As for ports, the Dell 16 Pro is equipped with a second and modular (for twist-resistance) USB-C port with Thunderbolt 4 capabilities, HDMI 2.1, and a handy 3.5mm audio jack. All Pro 16s come with Copilot in Windows, so you have instant access to an AI assistant using the Copilot key. If you upgrade to an Intel Core Ultra 200U series processor, you’ll get a boosted CPU and GPU, plus an NPU capable of on-device AI.

A Chip Bump for Creatives

If you’re a content creator or power user, you might want to consider locking in a Dell Pro 16 with the Ultra 200U series processor. The blazing-fast CPU is built for real-time multi-tasking; the high-throughput GPU slays at AI-accelerated content creation; and the NPU is capable of running AI features like Microsoft Studio Effects during your video calls. (Think no more cluttered backgrounds or slippery eye contact with your boss.)

The new Dell Pro 16 laptop not only looks slick, it performs like a champ. Get it starting at $949 (CAD) and nab the deal of the summer.
