Byte-Sized Brief
- Dell renamed XPS laptops to Dell Premium.
- The 14 Premium and 16 Premium are the first in the line.
- Dell Premium is for students, creators, and entrepreneurs.
Dell recently renamed its entire lineup of laptops in an effort to make it easier for customers to determine which laptop would suit them best. As part of that effort, the newest lineup of premium laptops—now called Dell Premium—just dropped. Included in the lineup are the Dell 16 Premium and 14 Premium, with the numbers referring to the screen sizes.
Both laptops offer up to 4K OLED displays with 120Hz variable refresh rates, Intel Core Ultra 200H series processors, and longer battery life. The company promises up to 20 hours of streaming on the 14 Premium and 27 hours on the 16 Premium. Both also run on Windows 11 and are “suitable for students, creators, and entrepreneurs.” They are now available on Dell’s website. The Dell 14 Premium starts at $1650, and the Dell 16 Premium starts at $2700.
The Bottom Line
Dell just dropped the first laptops in its Premium line (which used to be XPS), with beautiful screens, Intel Core Ultra processors, and longer battery life.
