Android 16 is here, and it adds a new feature that makes it easier to track your food or ride-share delivery without constantly opening the app. Starting with Pixel phones, you’ll now see live updates right on your lock screen or notification bar, such as how far your Uber Eats order is or if your ride is just turning onto your street.

This is similar to Apple’s Live Activities, and it’s meant to cut down on the constant app-checking we all do while waiting. So, instead of wondering where your driver is or how much longer it will take to get that pizza, you’ll get real-time information right where it’s easiest to spot. Google says this will work with compatible delivery and ride-share apps to start, with more support expected down the line.
