We put the 2024 MacBook Air through its paces in our review, raving about its major performance improvements, its support for dual external displays, and its competitive price. This is a potent portable for creatives, with a juicy 24GB of system memory and a gorgeous Liquid Retina display that’s bright and colorful. Battery life is also impressive for a laptop with such a big screen, clocking in at as much as 18 hours of use between charges.

Samsung Laptop Deals

This attractive and potent portable is a solid desktop replacement, with impressive performance from Windows 11’s new Copilot AI features thanks to the Snapdragon X Plus processor. In our review, we were impressed by the Galaxy AI Book 4 Edge’s luxurious-feeling all-metal chassis and bright, crisp display. Lenovo Laptop Deals

We consistently rate Lenovo laptops highly for their build quality and responsive, comfortable keyboards and touchpads, and even the company’s ultra-budget models are satisfying. The Ideapad 1i has kind of a quirky loadout, with a slightly stodgy Intel Celeron processor paired with a surprising 20GB of RAM. That makes it a great choice for people who keep a lot of applications open but don’t mind some performance slowdown on processor-intensive workflows. Storage is also decent, with a 1TB SSD and 128GB of eMMC storage. In our review of a similar IdeaPad 1, we said it was an affordable big-screen pick with good battery life.

Gaming Laptop Deals

Gaming laptops are also going to see discounts before Prime Day, and this MSI model is a solid example. While it doesn’t pump the kind of power needed to hit our list of the best gaming laptops, it’s a more than serviceable entry-level portable with a capable RTX 4060 graphics card serving up the pixels to its 15.6-inch FHD display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The keyboard and touchpad both feel good, and port selection is solid for your gaming mice and controllers. There’s plenty of room inside to boost RAM as well, and 12% off is a solid price cut.

For a budget gaming portable, you’re not going to be able to get a better deal than this one. Even though it runs off of some outdated silicon, most notably a Ryzen 8000-series processor and an RTX 4050 graphics card, it can still handle mainstream gaming at 1080p with no issues. That said, the screen resolution is actually WQXGA, or 2,560 by 1,600 pixels, so it’s a decent pick for content creation too. Portability is also a big draw here, with a total weight of just 3.2 pounds, and battery life is decent. We reviewed a slightly different configuration if you want to dive deeper into the details.
