We gave an “Excellent” rating to the 2023 iteration of the HP Pavilion Plus in our review, and the 2024 model looks even better. In our review, we said that this unit was “basic as bricks,” but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. All of the components are well-tested, and the casing is durable. Battery life is a strong point, testing out at 16 hours on a single charge when we took it into the lab. Compatibility with Wi-Fi 6 featuring 2×2 Mi-Mo is a nice bonus as well.

We consistently rate Lenovo laptops highly in our reviews, and the previous model of the ThinkPad E14 got an Editors’ Choice award from us when we put it through its paces. We haven’t been able to tear down the newest model yet, but it looks to continue the same high standards. With extremely long battery life, this is a productivity portable that will get you through an entire day on the go, and the keyboard is a pleasure to use. Durability is also a strong point, and Wi-Fi 6 support means you’ll always be able to tap a speedy connection. One year onsite warranty gives you a little extra security and this sale price keeps close to $790 in your wallet.

This featherweight portable is one of the most impressive laptops Apple has ever made, featuring blistering speed and luxurious build quality. Gaming Laptop Deals

We reviewed the Acer Swift X 14, raving over its absolutely stunning OLED display, which is one of the best screens you’ll see on a portable in this bracket. We also loved the light weight, noting that it almost qualified as an ultraportable, coming it at just 3.42 pounds, and it’s got plenty of ports and connectivity options. At retail price, the MSI Thin gaming laptop is already a good deal, a solid budget model with a nice 144Hz full HD screen, decent build quality and decent components for the price.
