Byte-Sized Brief
- First laptop with enterprise-grade discrete NPU.
- Runs massive AI models locally.
- Built for AI engineers and data scientists.
At Dell Technologies World 2025, the company pulled the curtain back on the Dell Pro Max Plus, a new laptop designed for AI workloads. It’s the first laptop to feature an enterprise-grade discrete NPU, powered by Qualcomm’s AI 100 Interface Card. This enables the kind of on-device interferencing normally reserved for cloud or data center environments.
In plain terms, this means you can now run enormous AI models, even up to 109 billion parameters, directly on a laptop. And thanks to 32 AI cores and 64 GB of dedicated LPDDR4x memory, the performance is tuned for developers building tools like chatbots, AI co-pilots, and other enterprise agents, all without sending sensitive data off-device or racking up cloud computing costs.
