Byte-Sized Brief
- Standalone Meta AI app launches with voice chat.
- Discover feed lets users share and remix how they use AI.
- It’s now the companion app for Ray-Ban Meta glasses.
Meta has launched a new standalone Meta AI app that’s built to be a more personal, voice-first assistant powered by Llama 4. The company says the app—available now on Android and iOS—is designed to adapt to your preferences, remember context, and let you carry on conversations across devices, whether you’re using your phone, desktop, or Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses.

The app also introduces a Discover feed, where you can browse and share AI prompts from other users. If you’re using the Ray-Ban Meta glasses, this app now replaces the Meta View app while keeping all your device settings and media intact. Conversations started on the glasses can be picked up later in the app or on the web, so that it’s easier to keep things going wherever you are.
