This article explains how to include speaker notes when printing from Google Slides.
How to Print Google Slides With Speaker Notes
You can print Google Slides with speaker notes, one to a page, so you can read them away from a computer. Here’s how to print Google Slides with speaker notes.
Open Google Slides and select a presentation.
Select File > Print preview.
Select 1 slide without notes under the main menu, and then choose 1 slide with notes. This will print one slide per page with your notes.
Select Print to open the print settings.
Modify the pages, copies, color, and other settings as you wish, and then choose Print again to print Google Slides with notes.
How to Add Speaker Notes to Google Slides
Adding notes to Google Slides is a good way to sum up each slide and keep participants engaged. It’s easy to add and delete notes.
First, go to View > Show speaker notes. If there’s already a checkmark next to this option, then speaker notes are already visible and you can skip this step.
Select Click to add speaker notes at the bottom of any slide.
Type your speaker notes and then click elsewhere in the presentation to save them.
Deleting speaker notes in Google Slides is easy: highlight the note and press Delete on the keyboard.
Should I Include Notes When Printing Google Slides?
It depends on who it’s for and how much information you want the printed version to carry.
You might want to print speaker notes if they will help you remember what to say or if you want to give extra context to others reading the printout. This is especially useful if it’s for a meeting or presentation where not everything is on the slide itself.
If the printouts are just for audience reference or handouts during an event, you’ll probably want to skip the notes and print multiple slides per page to save space and paper.
